BULGARIA
We were so curious about Bulgarian coast of Black Sea. We visited the coastline from north part to south, from Balchik to Burgas. And, YES, talking only about coastline, comparing with the Romanian part it is totally another world!
During Romania's administration, the Balchik Palace was the favorite summer residence of Queen Marie of Romania and her immediate family. The town is the site of Marie's Oriental villa, the place where her heart was kept, in accordance with her last wishes, until 1940. It was then moved to Romania. Today, the Balchik Palace and the adjacent Balchik Botanical Garden are the town's most popular landmarks.
We've stayed in Sveti Vlas, just a few kilometers away of Nessebar. The ancient Greek part of Nessebar is situated on a peninsula, previously an island, connected to the mainland by a narrow man-made isthmus, and it bears evidence of occupation by a variety of different civilizations over the course of its existence. Its abundance of historic buildings prompted UNESCO to include Nesebar in its list of World Heritage Sites in 1983. Lovely city with cobblestone streets and many artisanal markets. In Nessebar we've done our first scuba dive. Incredible how clear is the water of Black Sea, here. We saw some marine life too. After some sunbathing in Golden Sands and Sunny Beaches we decided to go for a couple of days in Turkey.

TURKEY
Located in the north-west Marmara Region of Turkey, Istanbul is one of the grand old cities of all times ornamented with many imperial palaces, fountains, cisterns, bazaars, and houses of worship and learning. Exploring Istanbul it was a wonderful experience.
